Introducing the Green Economy Progress Measurement Framework

How can countries monitor their progress towards more sustainable and inclusive economies? The Partnership for Action on Green Economy (PAGE) indicators for policymaking can help. They were designed to support country-level users to select and use indicators for identifying priority issues, formulating and assessing green economy policy options, and evaluating the performance of policy implementation.

On 20 September 2017, PAGE and the GGKP held a webinar to review country experiences with indicators for green economy policymaking and to introduce the newly-developed Green Economy Progress Measurement Framework, which will help countries measure their green economy progress and allow cross-country comparison of national efforts to transition to greener and more inclusive economies.

The webinar featured presentations from Mokshanand Sunil Dowarkasing (Greenpeace International), Jose Pineda (University of British Columbia) and Andrea Bassi (KnowlEdge Srl).
The GGKP was also honoured to welcome Bruno Oberle (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne) as the distinguished moderator for this webinar.
